施設定員６０名で運営を行っている小規模の園です。「つよくあかるくげんきなこ」がたくさんいる楽しいお寺の幼稚園です。下関市の私立幼稚園14園のうちの1園です。本園は創立80年以上にもなり、祖父母が卒園生ということもよくあり嬉しく思います。家では経験できないことを園で経験してもらいたいと思い、毎年いろいろな保育活動を考えています。みさかの森での「もりのようちえん」、年長組のクッキング、野菜の栽培、自然や食育にも力を入れています。時には縦割り保育も取り入れ年齢に関わらず、おもいやり、のある子をめざして楽しく園生活をおくっています。先生という仕事はすぐに結果がでるものではありません。入園して卒園するときに「こんなに大きく育った」と思えること、お父さんお母さんと一緒になってがんばれること、先生が何をしたら園生活が楽しく子どもたちの糧になるよう生活が送ることができるのか考えることなどいろいろな努力をすればするほど園児はかわってくれます。そして卒園しても園に遊びにきてくれます。こんなすばらしい職はないですね。みなさんと一緒に時を過ごせること感謝です。これからもよろしくお願いします。
