菊川町内にある公立幼稚園ですが、園児は菊川町外からも複数名通園しています。年々、園児数が減少しており、現在、３・４・５歳児混合１学級です。教育目標は　「生きる力の基礎を培い豊かな心を育てる」目指す幼児像は　明るく元気な子ども（体）　　　　　　　　思いやりのある子ども（徳）　　　　　　　　考えて行動する子ども（知）　　です。豊かな自然環境にかこまれ、子どもたちは元気に伸び伸びと遊んだり、様々な花や野菜の栽培をしたりしています。また、豊東小学校との交流が盛んです。
